Cuban Missile Crisis（Cont.)
This is a continuation of the case study “Cuban Missile Crisis.” How would you respond to the four official and unofficial messages and proposals, containing different conditions, from the Soviet leadership? Why were proposals containing different conditions delivered? What kind of message(s) would you send to the Soviet Union, other countries, and the citizens of your country? This case study allows students to simulate individual decision making as the U.S. President or group decision making as the White House. Although it involves the issue of national security by governments, it can be compared to a case in which a corporation must respond to an attack by a hostile party.
